From time to time I wrote up lists of things I loved doing in cities or countries I’d visited for friends and family that were going to the same places. I referred to and re-sent these lists often enough to make me think it would be worth publishing them somewhere for other people to read, and that’s where the the inspiration to start this blog came from. Any other bits and pieces I think other people might find useful wind up here too.
I grew up in Melbourne, Australia and lived there until July 2010 when my partner Alex and I sold off most of our belongings, put what was left into storage (except for our cat Jonty who moved in with my parents), and set off for the other side of the world with only what we could carry on our backs. We spent the rest of 2010 travelling around Europe before settling in London just before Christmas 2010. We lived and worked in London until July 2012 when we started the same process in reverse, this time working our way back to Australia via Europe, Russia and Asia. 2013 saw us settling back into Melbourne and married in October that year. October 2014 saw the birth of our first child, a gorgeous little girl. As for the rest, you’ll have to wait and see!
